The learner will also be instructed on the details of Regulation D's relationship with the Monetary Control Act. After completing this program, the learner will understand:

  • Which depository institutions are covered under Regulation D.
  • Deposit accounts, as defined under Regulation D.

This course will introduce the learner to Regulation D and the ways in which it administers the Truth in Savings Act. The course will discuss how Regulation D expects institutions to accurately and uniformly disclose the terms for deposit products and advertise these products honestly. After completing this program, the learner will understand:

  • The purpose and importance of accurate disclosures.
  • Which disclosures are specifically required under the Truth in Savings Act.
  • The definition of terms such as the "Annual Percentage Yield" and "interest rate."

This course will introduce the learner to Regulation E and the ways in which it is related to the Electronic Funds Transfer Act (EFT). The learner will be presented with an overview of how the EFT system affects consumers through disclosures and established rights. After completing this program, the learner will understand:

  • The relationship of the consumer to the EFT system.
  • The necessity of disclosures and details about the content of disclosures.
  • What is considered an EFT error.

This course will introduce the learner to Regulation EE, which is instituted through the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation Improvement Act of 1991 (FDICIA). The learner will be presented with a thorough overview of Regulation EE, including a discussion of the purposes of the regulation. After completing this program, the learner will understand:

  • Definition of the term "financial institution."
  • What a financial institution must have.
  • What financial institutions are allowed to pay under the regulation.
